Archivo Collectivo - registros analógicos de la primavera 2019
Ein weiteres Printmedium, welches wir voller Stolz während unserer Ausstellung präsentieren dürfen, ist das Fotomagazin Archivo Collectivo – registros analógicos de la primavera 2019, welches wir in Zusammenarbeit mit unserem guten Freund und Herausgeber von Valpo Analogo, Felipe Gallardo Mansilla im Juni 2020 in Chile herausgebracht haben. Es umfasst 45 Fotografien von 30 mehrheitlich chilenischen Fotograf:innen. Alle Aufnahmen wurden in unterschiedlichen Städten zwischen Oktober und November 2019, und damit in den ersten beiden Monaten der Protestbewegung aufgenommen. Die Bilder zeigen den Ausbruch der über drei Jahrzehnte aufgestaute Wut, die sich in allen chilenischen Städten gleichermaßen entlud. Die Auswahl der Fotos zielt darauf ab, so Felipe, die Ereignisse in den Monaten Oktober und November historisch zu dokumentieren. Es zeigt den Widerstand eines Volkes gegen seine korrupten Machthaber und den Widerstand der analogen Fotografie inmitten des digitalen Zeitalters.
Felipe schreibt im Magazin:
"Desde sus inicios, la fotografía ha sido evidencia de la realidad de las sociedades, de los individuos que la componen y del entorno donde estos se desenvuelven. La fotografía da cuenta de la vida y la historia de los pueblos en sus diferentes territorios. Hoy la tenemos nuevamente aquí, contándonos una historia. La historia de un pueblo que se cansó de las injusticias y la corrupción de quienes los gobiernan, y que junto con la última primavera hizo florecer su rabia, su coraje y sus sueños de una vida mejor. Una historia que en plena era digital, cuando somos bombardeados con cientos de imágenes por minuto, es relatada con paciencia y oficio a través de antiguas técnicas de fotografía analógica, las que nos recuerdan lo bello de las cosas cuando son hechas con amor, a mano y sin permiso."
"Seit ihren Anfängen ist die Fotografie ein Beweis für die Realität der Gesellschaft, der Individuen die sie bilden und der Umwelt in der sie leben. Die Fotografie erzählt vom Leben und der Geschichte der Menschen in ihren verschiedenen Regionen. Heute ist sie wieder da und erzählt uns eine Geschichte. Die Geschichte eines Volkes, das die Ungerechtigkeiten und die Korruption derer, die es regieren, satt hat, und das zusammen mit dem letzten Frühling seine Wut, seinen Mut und seine Träume von einem besseren Leben zum Blühen brachte. Eine Geschichte, die in diesem digitalen Zeitalter, in dem wir mit Hunderten von Bildern pro Minute bombardiert werden, mit Geduld und Geschick durch alte analoge Fototechniken erzählt wird und die uns daran erinnert, wie schön Dinge sind, wenn sie mit Liebe, von Hand und ohne Erlaubnis gemacht werden."

Another print medium that we are proud to present during the exhibition is the photo magazine Archivo Collectivo – registros analógicos de la primavera 2019. It was published in Chile in June 2020 in collaboration with our good friend and editor of Valpo Analogo, Felipe Gallardo Mansilla. It includes 45 photographs taken by 30 photographers, most of them Chilean. All photographs were taken in different cities between October and November 2019, so consequently in the first two months of the protest movement. The images show the outburst of anger that had been built up for more than three decades and that was almost equally unleashed in all Chilean cities. The selection of photos aims, Felipe said, to historically document the events of October and November. It shows the resistance of the people against their corrupt rulers and the resistance of analog photography in the midst of the digital age.

Since its beginnings, photography has been a testament to the reality of society, the individuals who make it up, and the environment in which they live. Photography tells us about the life and history of people in their different regions. Today it is back to tell us a story. The story of the people who are fed up with the injustices and the corruption of those who govern them, and who - together with the last spring - made their anger, their courage and their dreams of a better life blossom. A story that, in this digital age in which we are bombarded with hundreds of images per minute, is told with patience and skill through old analog photographic techniques, reminding us how beautiful things are when they are made with love, by hand and without permission.
